Portfolio
I'm just getting started putting this together. Sorry for the brevity!

- Open source projects I follow and sometimes contribute to
- Code samples
These have not been cleaned up yet. They are just as I last left them. Some may not be complete.
- ndir lexer
Ndirlexer is an event driven parser driver for parsing the output of
Novell's NDIR command and conditionally
acting upon the contents of that output. While at the University of Wisconsin
Hospital and Clinics, I used this tool for automating the creation of large DOS
batch files (Often greater than 2 MB) which referenced large numbers of files
and had to conditionally act on either the name, attributes, or contents.
It's use has now been deprecated as has the use of
Novell's NDIR command.
- Feedback samples
- NetWare for SAA feedback
Microsoft Word format. This is a document I submitted to
Novell while evaluating Novell/
IBM's
NetWare for SAA and NetWare
HostPrint products concerning issues I encountered while trying to implement the products.
Novell worked with me to resolve the issues pertaining
to bugs in the current code. The rest of the document was submitted to the developers for
consideration in the next release.
- Documentation samples
- Hobbies
- Home computing
At home I maintain a network of 3 computers running Red Hat Linux 6.0 and Windows 98. One of the machines
is used solely as a gateway to the Internet. It runs Red Hat Linux 6.0 with IP masquerading to provide
transparent access to Internet resources for the other 2 computers. The other two are used for web
browsing and development.
- Chess
- I have a German Shepherd named Satchel. We enjoy long walks through Madison's beautiful dog parks.
- Reading. I enjoy Science fiction very much. My favorite author is Robert A. Heinlein.
